The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators easy, quick positioning.
The Z-135/70 model comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were previously unreachable by traditional jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This specific feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and productivity.
