A reach stacker is a vehicle designed to handle the movement of containerized cargo within small and medium-sized terminals and ports. Reach stackers are ideal for quickly shuttling containers short distances and stacking them in rows.
Reach stackers are a popular choice for handling intermodal cargo containers because of their flexibility. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks could be kept four-deep.
Another version of the stacker is made to handle empty containers only.
Types of Forklift Reach

The Stand-Up Reach has a narrow width which makes it appropriate for racked pallet storage.
