Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer versatility and height. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks can not move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specifically to hoist workers. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
