Dangers of Type-G forklifts
The lift truck is essential for completing warehouse tasks. These extremely capable machines lift and move loads of immense size from one location to another. Lift trucks have lots of variations. The main variation is the way in which various kinds of forklifts are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the type that is most common. They use liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts have large rechargeable batteries and operate on electricity. Type "D" lift trucks utilize diesel and type "G" use gasoline. While all types of forklifts, similar to any piece of heavy equipment, can pose a danger, gasoline powered forklifts pose the most risks.

Fire
Forklifts labelled type G could present a fire hazard. Gas forklifts are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mainly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This can result from normal wear and from accidents or driving on really rough terrain. These circumstances pose a risk and could result in fire. Therefore, a standard Type G forklift should never be utilized in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed unacceptable. For example, these units should not be utilized around hazardous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas forklifts also pose a risk of explosion, as do liquid propane and diesel based forklifts. A kind of lift truck which operate on gasoline can explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where an ignition source and a gasoline leak are both present. An explosion can take place when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G forklifts pose a serious inhalation hazard due to toxic fumes. Gasoline fumes could be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes can result from the exhaust itself or from gasoline leaks. Therefore, a Type G lift truck is really not suggested for any environment that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious danger in enclosed places. This type of forklift should be utilized with caution when operated in close proximity to individuals.
