Used Carelift Zoom Boom Richmond

CareLift Equipment has been designing and building quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.

Boom lifts are available in 2 general types, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. These units are often powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal choice for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator can steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units are available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as gas, diesel or propane configurations.

Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work environment.

To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is required prior to using boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.

The boom lift allows for jobs needing lots of man hours to be completed in a lot less time. These machinery have revolutionized the material handling business and have greatly increased productivity.
